I was asked to do a review of a tuning kit for Bar 10 i have bought from Novritsch online shop.It took me a while since i am a terrible writer but it is finally finished, so here goes: I have started with ASG AW .308 Airsoft gun and i have upgraded it with AirsoftPro tuning parts, but something was missing.
I have installed only a M150 rated spring which is still under 550FPS mark, yet the bolt pull was so hard that i actually got bruises from cocking the rifle, i checked and checked again, everything was in order and i have found alot more people with same complaints.
After a while i felt a little cheated, where is that glorious sniping expiriance, well it all have changed when i decided to sell my .308 and save up money for a proper tuning kit.
And since i was allready burned out and tired of looking through different parts i decided to buy a used J.G. Bar-10 and a tuning kit from Novritsch since he was boasting about smooth bolt pull which was my main issue.
Bear in mind that with my upgraded .308 with AirsoftPro CNC Hop up chamber i was able to hit my target* reliably from around 50-60m with little to no wind.
After switching rifles and getting the upgrade kit i started hitting the same target* from 75-80m with moderate wind slightly diminished by the fact i was in a forest without breaking a sweat(im i am not any amaizing shot).
So what have i actually got when i swiped my debit card?
A little of waiting, aproximately 1,5 weeks and a surprise, in form of customs fee bill, sadly DHL did not inform me prior that there is customs fee to pay so i had to drive with the courier to an ATM and get the money, was it alot?
Nope, around 60 PLN(15 euro) pretty minor considering the cost of the whole kit.
And that is where the negatives end, my god was it worth it.
First of all, packing, it has arrived in 2 separete PCV tubes, secured tightly, and inside of those tubes there was additional plastic tube to protect the contents.
One of the tubes had the barrel where as the other contained: spring, trigger parts, leak stopper, piston, spring guide stopper, spring guide.
When it comes to packing, it was excellent, not a dent or a scratch in sight even tho it flew across the planet.
Next, instalation time, it took me about 10 minutes to first watch instalation guide and then install the whole thing so i would call it nice and smooth, not a single issue. I have comboed it with Action Army CNC machined hop up chamber.
All of the parts fit well together with eachother as well as Bar-10 components, not once i had to spot and think why something won’t go together, amaizing considering my previous expiriance.
I also lubel the whole rifle using a lube kit i got off a polish site, i used gear grease for the trigger unit, and air seal lube for rest of the parts (teflon based) as it gave me the smoothest bolt action, exceeding my expectations.
Smooth bolt action is very important to me since i am not a very strong person, i’m actually pretty weak, luckly unlike many other kits, in this one piston has a teflon oring so no metal parts ever touch sides of the cilinder.[https://youtu.be/vn-33iANCR0] It allows even a weak person like me, use the rifle with no effort put into cocking it.
Since i upgraded my rifle i went shooting targets(i have no friends) on longer ranges alot, i have chewed by now through about 2000 0.36g Devil Blaster[DB] BBs, 1000 0.30g DB BBs and 500 0.28g Tokyo Marui Perfect Hit BBs.
The best range and accuracy i got was with 0.30g DB BBs, i want to get 0.32g but they are hard to get where i live.
Also brea in mind that i need a better hop up rubber as mine isn’t long enough so i cant yet use my leak stopper, but i will get that sorted.
I was amazed just how easy it was to cock the rifle despite a stronger spring than M150[492FPS], it allowed me to take more accurate shots due to lack of pain in my shoulder distracting me and less fatigue in my hads from constantly coking the rifle.
So far i hvent had a single malfuction yet, event tho im still using original Bar-10 cylinder, the website said it is strong enough and so far so good.(i do plan on getting a tuning cylinder when i get the money, if you have Bar-10 and got the money go for VSR-10 upgrade it, it is the same, just adds the cylinder and cylinder head)
Now, let’s talk accuracy, the *target* that i mentioned above was a concrete pole used for fences, it is around 10cm x 10cm and about 1,5m high so it is way smaller than an actuall human, shooting constantly (using 5 mags) i would miss maybe 5% shot due to my own incompetence or sudden change of wind speed and/or direction, when the wind ocasionally stopped i could see through my scope BB going straight forward as if they were following a perfect line carried by angels of accuracy.
I did alot of improvement to my rifle to help the kit unleash it full potential.
J.G. Bar-10 is just a chinese copy of a VSR-10 from TM, it is a quality copy but a copy nontheless, so it had a little wobble when it comes to outer barrel and the inner barrel wobles inside it as well a litte, i fixed it with my trusty friend….Teflon Tape! After taping it up, it is sturdy as a metal bar. Meaning the kit can work its glory and send those BBs straight forward.
I was asked to talk about service, dont have much to say really, the thing about good service is that you never notice it unless there are issues and with the best service you never notice it since there are no issues.
I went to Novritsch website, went to shop, choce an upgrade kit, clicked “checkout”, entered my details and payment info, 1,5 week later, kock on my door with death in form of an upgrade kit.
No delays, or problems of any kind, website if pretty easy to navigate as well, it just works, and thats important.
- Packing- excellent
- Performance & Accuracy: best i have seen, pretty much perfect.
- Shipping: DHL beeing DHL forgot to tell me about customs
- Instalation: nice and smooth, no problems or hickups during the process
- Service: clean and smooth
You you are running on a budget, skimp out of the rifle not it’s parts, between BAR-10 and VSR-10 there is little to no differance after you upgrade both of them, since you basicly replace all the important parts anyway, the kit is a little on the expensive side but it is well worth the money, and if you dont have alot of knowlage about parts and so on, i would recoment it for you straight away since it is pretty much the best in the industry.
All in all i am very pleased with my kit, and i hope this review helps spread towards other people so they dont have to go through the frustration that i endured with other parts.

Novritsch comment: "The review was written for the VSR-10 Pro Sniper. All the mention points are also applicable for other tuningktis since they are all designed to the same technical requirements."
